Role allocation

One of the first tasks we had to take into consideration is who is doing what role in the opening of are horror films Peek-a-Boo.

Casting

When it came to making the casting decisions for the opening of the film Peek- a -Boo we came to the casting decision of Sophie Ravenscroft as Tanya ,the mother who Dolly Pocket decides to murder and Chloe Ravenscroft as Dolly Pocket herself ,the antagonist in the film. The props and the costume Tanya will need are a baby’s pram and sensible simple clothes. Other props needed are a collection of toys in Dolly Pockets babies room, a blanket to wrap Dolly Pockets child’s bone in and specially made newspaper containing the Dolly Pocket headline and a knife that is the murder weapon. When it came to choosing the name for the characters we decided to have a play on words with the antagonist as Dolly Pocket is an alternative to Polly pocket a famous child's toy and as Dolly pocket is obsessed with her child we thought this name suited her greatly. We chose the name Tanya for the role of the murdered mother as it is a simplistic name and we didn't want the focus of the main character shifting to that of only a major character in the film.
